In a 2017 article from The Scotsman, we learn the home was previously owned by journalist and TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

Since then, the home has undergone additional modernization. The kitchen includes a two oven AGA, wine cooler, and wall mounted TV. The nearby breakfast room is themed as an American diner, which leads to a large gym and games room. Several period features remain, such as bay window and fireplace in the drawing room. You’ll enjoy the wooden staircase, with panelling, a leaded window, and ornate plaster ceiling.

Dawson Park

Stroll along the cherry avenue of Dawson Park. Opened in the 1950’s, the park features various sporting facilities including tennis and basketball courts, a bowling club, and community garden.

Broughty Castle

Built in 1496, Broughty Castle sits at the mouth of the River Tay. Minutes away from the Esplanade and Broughty Ferry Beach. Admission is free, but check for seasonal open times.

RRS Discovery

One of my favorite places to visit in nearby Dundee is the Royal Research Ship Discovery. The RRS Discovery was built and launched from Dundee in 1901 headed to Antarctica. Admission includes access through galleries, a film show on the expedition, and a tour of the ship.
